Went to church this evening and the assistant Pastor had the sermon. I don’t take an issue with a sermon MOST of the time BUT he was preaching about Jesus healing on the Sabbath and after he read the verses about Jesus healing a man on the Sabbath. Then he said “so this verse says the this happed on a Sunday.” My question is should I go to this guy and quietly explain what he said and to point out the “mistake,” or just keep my mouth shut? I really like this assistant pastor but I think he really is claiming that the “Bible Sabbath” is Sunday. Or maybe he’s clueless about true history. Advice anyone???

Jesus did NOT rely on His intuition but on the Holy Spirit who taught Him all He knew. If. Catholicism was true, it would have its roots in the revelatory teachings of Paul the apostle who singlehandedly wrote much of the NT. Paul was also Jewish, but Paul was sent to the non-Jews to preach the good news of the kingdom of God. Catholicism is so far from the scriptures as the heavens are from the earth. Its teachings are based on traditions and a hierarchy that Jesus never taught. They don’t even know the basic tenants of what Paul taught because they erroneously believe that Peter was the first Pope. Laughable if it wasn’t so tragic. The Spirit of God taught Jesus the Man, how to reject temptation, and how to teach the multitudes the reality of His spiritual kingdom. Paul as every real believer was taught how to live a godly life because the Spirit of holiness dwelled in him. The Spirit is also the teacher and overseer of the true church or better said, the congregations of the Lord. The seven letters to the communities of the Lord prove it. Read the first three chapters of Revelation. Jesus said “My kingdom is not of this world” (Jn 18:36). Yet the Roman Church is clearly earthly and filled with boring religion. Don’t be deceived. Take a good look at your life, how you conduct yourself and ask the Lord if you are godly as Paul was. If you are indwelled with the Holy Spirit as the early community of believers were. If not, you have been deceived by a church that makes many claims but doesn’t have the goods.
